Emotional Wellness

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) defines emotional wellness as "the ability to express feelings, adjust to emotional challenges, cope with life鈥檚 stressors, and enjoy life. It includes knowing our strengths as well as what we want to get better at, and living and working on our own but letting others help us from time to time. "

There's beauty in the flexible definition of Emotional Wellness, there is no one-size-fits-all! When exploring your own Emotional Wellness, tap into resources all around you. These resources include, but are not limited to, spending time with friends/family, journaling, gratitude exercises, stress management, going to therapy, etc. CALM encourages all to build up their own Emotional Wellness toolkit so everyone can thrive through life's ebbs and flows.
