The STAR Lab has partnered with Mr. Johnny Crowder, Founder and CEO of , a mental health text messaging intervention, on program evaluation.

The STAR Lab team, in collaboration with USF's College of Engineering (, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering; , CES Doctoral Student) and 国产短视频Morasani College of Medicine (, Director of Wellness) conducted a mixed methods study to understand user experiences with Cope Notes. This work was led by Ms. King and Ms. Jana LeBert, a member of the Summer funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).

The STAR Lab also conducted a preliminary effectiveness trial of the Cope Notes program, documenting the impact of Cope Notes on symptoms, perceived stress,emotional intelligence, and coping.
