Professional Development
National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD)
¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵis an institutional member of the N This organization is geared to promoting the success of under-represented groups, including women and faculty of color in the academy.
In addition to the resources available as an institutional member, the center also offers professional development training and intensive mentoring programs. Some programs are at cost to the individual, but there are many resources offered for free as a benefit of institutional membership.
Membership is FREE for all ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵaffiliates, so

The Employee Success Center supports the dynamic of the whole person in the learning and development journey. This includes knowledge (what you know), potential (what you can do), experience (what you have done) and motivation (who you are and what drives you). We offer numerous development options to support individual goals and the goals of the University.
Associations and Organizations
United Faculty of Florida (UFF)
The consists of the UFF members at the three campuses of USF, and represents all USF faculty and professionals of the UFF ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵBargaining Unit in bargaining a contract — a Collective Bargaining Agreement — that determines the terms and conditions of employment at USF.
Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate is the primary faculty advisory body to the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵ President, Provost, and Vice President for Health on all matters that pertain to the academic climate of the university. The Senate has the responsibility to review and make recommendations to them considering decisions on all matters pertaining to the welfare of the University, focusing particularly on those pertaining to the academic mission.
The Faculty Senate operates 16 councils on a variety of topics, learn more about the councils and how to get involved.
Black Faculty and Staff Association
The mission of the USF-BFSA shall be to foster an environment of mutual support and respect for Black employees working at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵ. The USF-BFSA shall engage in such activities that will benefit the constituent members in the areas of social support and professional networking as well as in the areas of advocacy and representative action within the University and surrounding communities. The USF-BFSA recognizes the existence and supports the continued work of Black institutional organizations focused on matters of concern to Black faculty, staff and students at the University South Florida.
Alianza Latina Faculty & Staff Association
The mission of Alianza Latina Faculty and Staff Association (USF-ALFSA) shall be to
foster
an environment of mutual support, community, advocacy and respect for Latinx/a/o,
Latin American, or Hispanic identified faculty, staff and students at the University
of South Florida. The organization will promote recruitment, retention, professional
development, and the advancement of Latinx/a/o employees at the university, thereby,
upholding OneUSF’s Principles of Community.
Alianza Latina is comprised of full- and part-time faculty and staff of at the USF system who self-identify as Latinx/a/o, Latin American, or Hispanic. We also welcome allies who are invested and interested in supporting, championing, and directly advocating for the member community.

Research
Over the past 20 years, ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵhas transitioned into a major research institution and was designated a "Preeminent State Research University" by the Florida Board of Governors in 2018, one of only three in the state.
At USF, research and innovation come from a creative and ongoing collaboration between faculty and student researchers, administrative staff, business and academic partners, and the community. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵ's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a service program designed to assist employees with personal, family, or workplace concerns/issues. A robust EAP program is an important component of any workplace community, and services are provided by Magellan Health Services, a national leader in behavioral health care.
