The CLEO Institute Climate Symposium 2022
The CLEO Institute鈥檚 annual climate symposium invites world-renowned speakers to discuss critical topics related to the climate crisis and innovative solutions available to tackle it. The event will kick off with a keynote by Dr. Amy Zanne presenting the critical state of our biodiversity. It will then be followed by five experts presenting top climate solutions in food, energy, gender equality, cities, and education. The aim is to highlight the most robust pathways to decarbonization to tackle the climate emergency in an intersectional way while showing the additional co-benefits and positive ripple effects these changes can bring to our society. One of the panels will feature Tristram Stuart and Dr. Brooke Hansen discussing 鈥淭he Sickening Reality of Food Waste.鈥 Mr. Stuart is an international award-winning author, speaker, campaigner, and expert on the environmental and social impacts of food. He is the author of The Bloodless Revolution (2006), and the international prize-winning book Waste: Uncovering the Global Food Scandal (Penguin, 2009). Mr. Stuart promoted the idea of using unwanted bread to make beer in Anthony Bourdain鈥檚 film Wasted! The Story of Food Waste and he founded , a beer launched in the UK in 2016 that is made using surplus bread. The event will be fully online.
