Scholarships and Fellowships
There are a number of scholarships and fellowships available for graduate study through the central Financial Aid Office. Scholarships and fellowships are awards made based on outstanding credentials. An overview of these opportunities can be found at the . Tuition waivers may be available to graduate students as part of a scholarship or fellowship.
Assistantships
Applicants and currently enrolled graduate students can be considered for research, administrative, and teaching assistantships. Assistantships, unlike scholarships and fellowships, require a teaching, research or administrative assignment, and therefore the student must have the credentials and prior experiences to perform the tasks.
In addition, graduate assistantships are awarded by the Florida Center for Instructional Technology, the iTeach Lounge, and the Department of Educational and Psychological Studies. These assistantships require research, teaching, or administrative service totaling approximately 20 hours per week. Tuition waivers may also be available to graduate students as part of an assistantship.
