Anchin Center Co-Hosts Inspiring Book Launch: "Black Immigrant Literacies"

The David C. Anchin Center for the Advancement of Teaching and the Institute for Black Life, both integral parts of the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵ (USF), recently co-hosted a remarkable event – the book launch of "Black Immigrant Literacies: Intersections of Race, Language, and Culture in the Classroom."

The event took place in the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵCollege of Education rotunda, setting the stage for an enlightening evening. Attendees were treated to an engaging opening reception, providing a space for networking and discussion before delving into the heart of the occasion.

Dr. Patriann Smith, the esteemed author of "Black Immigrant Literacies," took center stage, guiding participants through a thought-provoking discussion on the intersections of race, language, and culture within the classroom.
