Biography
Anne Strozier, Ph.D., MSW, is an Emeritus Professor in the School of Social Work at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵ. Dr. Strozier served as a full-time faculty member for 22 years, retiring in May 2014. She served as MSW Chair for many years; also as Associate Director and Interim Director.
In 2000, Dr. Strozier founded and subsequently directed the Florida Kinship Center, a center that provided services statewide to grandparents and other relatives raising family members’ children. The center had a statewide Warmline; a Legal Hotline; an in-home education for pre-schoolers and their grandparents; an elementary school based program that provided tutoring, mentoring, and counseling for the children and their relatives; a kinship navigator program; an annual Rally in Tally advocacy trip for grandparents to talk to legislators about their contributions and needs; an annual kinship conference; training for support group leaders; and research in the field of kinship.
Dr. Strozier has published articles in the areas of kinship care, child welfare, co-parenting, incarcerated women, professional issues, and supervision. Her book is entitled Introduction to Complementary and Alternative Therapies.
As a licensed psychologist. Dr. Strozier has led support groups for kinship caregivers and worked with individuals and couples to enhance wellness and personal growth.

Kinship care, child welfare, co-parenting, incarcerated women, professional issues, and supervision.
