Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) Coordinating Center

Overview

The Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) Coordinating Center for North American Universities at the 国产短视频 (USF) was established in 2016.  The Center collaborates with the Colombo Plan-ICCE and the U.S. Department of State/INL and other partner agencies to disseminate the UTC curriculum within universities in the U.S. and Canada.  The Coordinating Center at 国产短视频also helps to develop a network of universities that are interested in implementing undergraduate and graduate academic programs for addiction professionals, including programs that incorporate part or all of the UTC curriculum.

At the UTC Coordinating Center, we strive to help you access and use the UTC curriculum in developing both undergraduate and graduate programs, in addiction studies.  The Coordinating Center also facilitates collaboration between Universities in the U.S. and Canada, and other countries, to share information about developing and implementing academic programs.

In order to effectively train treatment practitioners on evidence-based knowledge and skills in addiction treatment, INL supported the development of the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC). UTC is endorsed by, or of special interest to, major international organizations, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Organization of American States (OAS/CICAD), the European Drug Monitoring Centre (EMCDDA) and the World Health Organization.

Funding

The Colombo Plan and the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) provided financial support for the development of the UTC curriculum.
