The Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE) was established to study and advance the science and practice of Code Enforcement statewide through training, certification, and the exchange of ideas, information, and code enforcement techniques.

We're pleased to coordinate certification classes and provide professional development training to code enforcement personnel within our service area. FACE has four levels of curriculum for certification. Please read through the bottom of this page for details on registration and exams.

The Deadline to register and pay for the exam is February 1, 2025.  Registration will close at that time, or earlier if class is full. 


Exam Requirements

*In order to be eligible for the exam, you must have completed all sections of the classroom instruction. You will be automatically registered for the exam when your registration and payment for the class are received. The exam fee is $100 for Active Members, and $150 for Non-Members. Payment for the exam may be made by visiting the appropriate link above. Invoices available upon request. If you need any special consideration or accommodations at testing time for medical or any other reason, please submit your request via the link below no less than 30 days prior to exam date. 

Exam ADA Accommodations

This application should be submitted 30 days prior to the candidate’s assigned examination.  Requests must be supported by documentation certifying the disability from a qualified professional appropriate for evaluating the disability, licensed pursuant to Chapters 490 (Psychological Services), 458 (Medical Practice), 459 (Osteopathy), 461 (Podiatry), 463 (Optometry), or 468 Part I (Speech Language Pathology and Audiology), Florida Statutes.  Review of a request for test accommodations will be deferred until the necessary documentation is submitted.

Class Details

Class size is limited and registration will be closed when capacity has been reached. The registration fee includes course materials. Participants will be on their own for lunch. Due to the strong interest in the certification program and limitations on class size, registrations will be confirmed only if they are accompanied by payment.


Become a FACE Member

Annual membership with the Florida Association of Code Enforcement ($25-$35) will entitle you to discounts on training, education, and the annual conference registration. You will also receive five issues annually of the organization's newsletter known as "INTERFACE".

Course Refund Policy

Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing and received no later than one week prior to the first day of classes. In such cases, the registration fee, less a $50 administration charge, will be refunded. No requests for refunds will be honored after that date. Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal or refund.
