Admission
Are you ready to be a part of this unique graduate certificate program? Whether you’re a current ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵstudent or an adult learner, the application process is simple.
Successful applicants will hold a bachelor’s level degree with a 3.0 GPA in their overall program or in the last 60 hours of study towards completion of a bachelor’s degree. Candidates who have less than a 3.0 undergraduate GPA will be considered for the program if they can provide evidence of at least five years’ experience in an area related to the Food Writing Certificate program. This includes work in culinary arts, restaurant or food management, or work that involved substantial writing for print, broadcast or the web. Applicants are also asked to write a cover letter describing their interest in the program. This is a rolling-admissions program, so students may start their study at the beginning of any USFSP semester.

NON-DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS
- Applicants will complete the for admission, selecting St. Petersburg campus and "Graduate Certificate" as the
student level. Indicate you are applying for the Food Writing and Photography program.
Note: Applicants SHOULD NOT submit an application with "non-degree seeking" selected as the student type, otherwise you will be forced to reapply. - Pay the non-refundable $30 application fee.
- Upload the statement of purpose and resume.
- Upload any additional program-specific application requirements - i.e. letters of
recommendation, test scores, writing samples, et cetera.
- Upon acceptance by the department into the Food Writing and Photography Graduate Certificate Program, you will be notified via email how to register for your first courses.
