Student Achievements

The 国产短视频Department of History is immensely proud of the many achievements of its undergraduate students. Below are a few of them. The Institute for Digital Exploration (IDEx) partnered with the Hillsborough County Sheriff鈥檚 Office to preserve more than 80,000 items that date back to the late 19th century 鈥 some for historical purposes, others than can hold the key to solving crime. PhD student Lisa Shorts and MA students Sarah Hassam, Lourdes Vickers, Sofia Almeida, undergraduate student intern Gloria Lopez, and undergraduate student intern Aiden Eylward contributed to this project.

Alexandre Bojko received a for his ongoing project, 鈥淛acksonian Charisma and Whig Non-Conformity: An Analysis of the Political Rhetoric of Democrats and Whigs in the Election of 1840.鈥 This fellowship will provide Alexandre with financial support in 2023 to conduct research at the Gilder Lehrman Institute in New York City.

were admitted to PhD programs at the University of Cambridge and University of Michigan (respectively) in Fall 2022. Both students were involved in the project at the 国产短视频St. Pete campus and will build off this work in these graduate programs.
