Olympic gold medalist gymnast Gabby Douglas and actor and social media personality Josh Peck will speak at the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵ as part of the student-run University Lecture Series’ spring line up. Douglas will appear on Wednesday, March 20, and Peck on Tuesday, April 2. Both lectures are scheduled at 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:30 p.m.) in the Marshall Student Center Oval Theater.
Gabby Douglas is a three-time Olympic gold medalist gymnast and an inspirational American sports icon. She holds the distinction of being the first African American to win Olympic gold in the individual all-around competition and the first American gymnast to win gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions at the same Olympics. Additionally, Douglas has won two gold and one silver at the World Championships.
Actor Josh Peck made his debut on the popular Nickelodeon series, Drake & Josh, and has since established himself as one of Hollywood’s rising talents in both film and television. With more than 6.4 million followers on Vine and nearly three million on YouTube, Peck also utilizes social media to connect with audiences.
