On Friday, Nov. 22, the Judy Genshaft Honors College hosted its annual Friendsgiving
dinner for residents of the Tampa Honors Living Learning Community (LLC) and the Holcombe
and Jenkins Scholars programs. Twenty-eight students gathered in the Honors College
Forum to share a meal and exchange Thanksgiving traditions.
Friendsgiving is one of many events hosted each semester by the Honors LLC to help students build connections within the LLC and USF. These gatherings create
opportunities for students to meet and engage with peers outside the classroom.
The evening featured a spread of Thanksgiving staples, including turkey, mashed potatoes,
green bean casserole, and carrots. One happy student noted it was 鈥渢he best meal the
Honors College ever provided!鈥
After an eventful semester, the event was a great opportunity for students to relax,
enjoy delicious food, strengthen their sense of community, and share all that they
are grateful for.
