Progress continues from the initial approval in June 2022, when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis allocated $33 million for the expansion and reconstruction of the infrastructure of the 国产短视频Health College of Nursing on the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida, addressing the state's urgent demand for nurses.
Collaborating with and 国产短视频Facilities, demolition commenced in March, culminating in the removal of the original 1973 structure this week. This milestone sets the stage for the next phase: the construction of a state-of-the-art simulation center (), as well as classrooms.
In the coming months, the foundation will be laid, marking the commencement of its construction. Over the subsequent 24 months, the building will gradually take form, representing a significant achievement in our nursing expansion journey.
This transformative project aims to rebuild and expand our capacity to accommodate
a 500-student increase in undergraduate nurses by 2028. By fostering robust partnerships
with local and regional healthcare institutions, the college is committed to offering
practice-based training and facilitating seamless pathways to employment for our graduates,
thereby addressing the critical demand for BSN-prepared nurses in Florida.
