The Math by the Bay Summit was held on September 19, 2023, in TECO Hall at the College of Education 国产短视频. Dr. Sarah Van Ingen Lauer and Dr. David Allsopp facilitated school district teams from Hillsborough, Sarasota, Pinellas, Hernando, Polk, and Manatee in a deep discussion related to the challenges and solutions of helping all students achieve in mathematics. District leaders showed appreciation for the time spent together sharing thoughts and ideas.

This week, we remember the 2,977 victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. For our 国产短视频College of Education alumni, Dr. Kristy Verdi PhD with the non-profit Learn and Serve Tampa, this day is a day to do good and give back to the community in their efforts to transform the anniversary of 9/11 into a day of doing good.

Advanced Placement Summer Institute 2023 Recap

This past July, The 国产短视频 (USF) College of Education鈥檚 Anchin Center hosted its annual Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI). The Anchin Center鈥檚 APSI is the third largest in the world, with participants joining from 32 states and 13 different countries, including Canada, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Guatemala, Kuwait, Mexico, Myanmar, Panama, South Korea, and Turkey. This summer, they welcomed approximately 650 Advanced Placement (AP) teachers to campus for three consecutive weeks of collaborative professional learning.

The Gus A. Stavros Center for Free Enterprise and Economic Education received a $20,000 gift from State Farm in support of the Center鈥檚 programming to educate students in economics and financial literacy. State Farm鈥檚 support will directly impact college-aged students.
