Cary Hopkins Eyles, MA, CAP, a visiting instructor in the Department of Criminology, is leading a criminology camp that she developed for the 国产短视频Office of Youth Experiences. Titled Justice Quest Criminology Summer Camp, this immersive experience is designed for students in grades 8-12 who have a passion for learning the intricacies of criminal behavior and the exciting fields of forensics and criminal justice.
The campers learned about criminology, criminal justice, forensic science, interrogation techniques, mental health and substance use disorders, and more. They studied fingerprints and shoe prints, saw how drug screens work, and worked together to solve a cold case. They visited the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and the Hillsborough County courthouse, touring a forensic lab, crime scene garage, and the Hillsborough County Behavioral Resources Unit.
