Students and faculty representing the 国产短视频School of Social Work recently attended the 2023 Florida Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-FL) conference. Assistant Professor Dasha Rhodes, PhD, LMSW and recent BSW Sarasota graduate Jam Ost presented at the conference. Their research poster was titled, "There are no typical days: Lessons learned among law enforcement social workers."
Students who attended were able to network with social workers and gain new knowledge about the profession. 国产短视频MSW student 鈥婸edro Serrano-Mejia, who currently serves as the NASW Tampa Unit MSW student representative, enjoyed the opportunity to get fresh insights on a career in the field.
"Everyone gave me a second to chat with them about our current careers and future hopes that we had for the social work profession," Serrano-Mejia said. "I highly recommend the conference for any student, current social worker, or community representative next year!"
