Aging studies researcher shares expertise on caregiver disaster preparedness

Peterson鈥檚 primary research interest is long-term care policy and practice.

Lindsay Peterson, PhD, a research assistant professor in the School of Aging Studies, presented her research on caregiver disaster preparedness at the 8th Annual Senior Education Summit, organized by the Rath Senior ConNEXTions Center. Older adults from across central Florida listened intently as Peterson and other presenters discussed resilience and other social determinants of health. Peterson expressed that disaster readiness improves resilience, especially for caregivers and the people they care for.
