Nik Lampe, PhD, an assistant professor in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy (MHLP), presented at the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) Social Research, Policy, and Practice Section鈥檚 Presidential Symposium, 鈥淚mpact of Discriminatory Policies on LGBTQ+ Older Adults鈥� Health and Well-Being and How to Combat Them,鈥� for the 2023 GSA Annual Scientific Meeting.
During the symposium, Lampe presented their co-authored project entitled, "Faith, Social Support, and End-of-Life Care Preparation Among LGBTQ+ Older Adults," using panel data from the NIA-funded Vanderbilt University Social Networks, Aging, and Policy Study and semi-structured interview data from the Health Aging Beyond Sex and Gender Binaries Study.
