Bhattacherjee Named One of the World’s Top 25 Researchers
Avid researcher has published more than 40 refereed journal articles
TAMPA – Anol Bhattacherjee, professor of information systems in the ¹ú²ú¶ÌÊÓƵMuma College of Business, was named one of the world's top 25 researchers based on research productivity during 2003 to 2007.
In an article in the journal Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Bhattacherjee was identified as a top researcher in the field's top three journals and in the Association for Information Systems' top six journals.
Bhattacherjee teaches a doctoral seminar on research methods and undergraduate / graduate courses in database management, management information systems, and e-commerce. In 2003, he received of one of USF's top awards, the President's Award for Faculty Excellence.
Having published more than forty refereed journal articles, Bhattacherjee is an avid researcher whose primary areas of research are the use of information technology innovations, applications of information technology in healthcare, and knowledge transfer in social networks.
His research has been published in numerous academic journals, including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of MIS, and Decision Sciences. He served on the editorial board of MIS Quarterly for four years. His papers have been cited over 1,000 times, according to Google Scholar, and his work is used for doctoral seminar readings at leading MIS institutions.
Bhattacherjee received his PhD and MBA degrees from University of Houston, and MS and BS degrees from Indian Institute of Technology in India. Prior to USF, he taught at Arizona State University and University of Colorado at Denver.
