Pianist Svetozar Ivanov has been on the Music Faculty at University of South Florida since 1999 teaching Applied Piano, Chamber Music, and Chamber Music Literature. Ivanov has made numerous appearances as recitalist and orchestra soloist worldwide. All Music Guide and Fanfare Magazine praised his recent solo CD鈥檚; the album Naked Tango was called 鈥渟uperbly original, quite moving, personal and musically absorbing鈥 while his CD Vers la flamme was celebrated for performances which were 鈥減layed with aplomb, panache and complete conviction鈥 and interpretation 鈥渇illed with sensual longing, anguished yearning, anxious dread and provocative energy鈥.  Regarding his album  one reviewer wrote: 鈥淚vanov鈥檚 most distinctive gift as a pianist is his ability to draw us inward, which imparts the feeling that we鈥檙e approaching a mystery鈥. was hailed for 鈥減erformances of purified beauty that can leave you breathless鈥 and his most recent album was praised for its 鈥渃ombination of maturity, deeply felt expression, and dignity.鈥

Recent performance venues include Carnegie, Merkin, and Steinway Halls in New York City, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Splendor and Bethani毛nklooster in Amsterdam, Guildhall, Royal College, and Goldsmith in London, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Razumovsky Salon in Vienna, Salon Chritophori in Berlin, RNCM in Manchester, Royal Academy of Music in Denmark, RCS in Prague, Sequoia Concerts in San Francisco, as well as numerous concert series at universities throughout the US. Recent festival appearances include 鈥淧ianomaster鈥, 鈥淧ianoEchos鈥, 鈥淭erre d鈥橝rezzo鈥, 鈥淎utunno Musicale鈥, and 鈥淐lassicariano鈥 in Italy, 鈥淜rakow Piano Festival鈥 in Poland, "M煤sica de Besal煤" in Spain, 鈥淧ianotune鈥 in Belgium, 鈥淪eiler鈥 in Greece, 鈥淲alled City鈥 in Northern Ireland, 鈥淪alon des Arts鈥 and 鈥淪ofia Music Weeks鈥 in Bulgaria, 鈥淧eter the Great鈥 in the Netherlands, 鈥淐hautauqua鈥 in New York, 鈥淜illington鈥 in Vermont, and 鈥淔ox River鈥 in Wisconsin.

Ivanov is especially recognized for his creative work designing unusual concert formats combining music with other art forms (documentary footage, art films, animation, poetry, short stories, live dance improvisation, paintings, lighting design, live streaming). His DVD explores the synthesis between music, movement, multimedia, and was released by Naxos in 2018. His latest video projects include and the - a poetry inspired collection of ten short films.

In addition to his position at USF, Ivanov serves as Artist Faculty at in Vermont, in Italy, and is the Artistic Director of the Steinway Piano Series in Florida as well as the newly established . He is a and holds degrees from the Bulgarian National Conservatory and University of Michigan (Doctor of Musical Arts).
