国产短视频 Professor Meredith Johnson has won the 2020 CCCC for her book 鈥.鈥 The Conference on College Composition and Communication presents the award each year for 鈥渢he empirical research publication鈥 that most advances the mission of the organization or the needs of the profession.鈥
鈥淟ean Technical Communication,鈥 co-authored with W. Michele Simmons and Patricia Sullivan, aims to help programs make decisions in the face of uncertainty. It is comprised of a flexible theoretical model that is applied to case studies of innovation.
鈥淪everal of the book鈥檚 chapters showcase curricular innovation at USF, and I鈥檓 so happy to be shedding national light on the good work that has happened here,鈥 Johnson says. 鈥淲e did a lot of work to make sure it鈥檚 applicable to a wide range of institutions.鈥
In a letter to the authors, CCCC Chair Vershawn Ashanti Young writes, 鈥溾橪ean Technical Communication鈥 makes a powerful contribution to our professional work in the field.鈥 The CCCC Awards Presentation will take place in Milwaukee on March 27, and Johnson plans to attend.
鈥淚t feels like a high point in my career,鈥 Johnson says of the award. 鈥淚t鈥檚 saying to me that we hit a nerve. We found a need, and we truly addressed it鈥. It鈥檚 remarkable to be told that the profession benefits directly from your work and that it addresses a significant need.鈥
