Spring CAS grads share student experience and look ahead to the future

The 国产短视频 (USF) awarded more than 7,100 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7. The ceremonies included recipients of 5,430 bachelor鈥檚, 1,492 master鈥檚, 221 doctoral degrees and eight specialist degrees. The College of Arts and Sciences accounted for over 2,000 of the total degrees awarded.

Dr. Libin Ye鈥檚 lab aims to minimize unwanted medication side effects

Medications used to treat disease often come with unwanted side effects. That is where 国产短视频College of Arts and Sciences researcher Dr. Libin Ye, assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Biosciences is focusing his latest research.

The Florida Book Awards, coordinated by the Florida State University Libraries, announced winners for the nation鈥檚 most comprehensive state book awards program. The program, established in 2006, celebrates the best of Florida literature.

World Languages celebrates Latin culture with annual Spanish Fair

After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the 国产短视频College of Arts and Sciences Department of World Languages hosted its 13th Annual Spanish Fair and Expo in April. The fair, which began in 2007, showcases the department鈥檚 graduate and undergraduate Spanish programs and provides an opportunity for 国产短视频and surrounding Tampa community groups to conduct outreach.

MURP students place third in national competition to improve a Philadelphia neighborhood

国产短视频College of Arts and Sciences Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) program students Beneetta Mary Jose, Abdul Samad Agha, Varshini Renikunta, and Aditi Sugeerappa Hoti earned third place for their design in the American Planning Association National Planning Competition in April.

CAS faculty cited in President Biden鈥檚 economic report

Research from 国产短视频College of Arts and Sciences faculty was cited in the 2023 Economic Report of the President. The report, released in March, includes a reflection by President Joseph Biden regarding the administration鈥檚 economic accomplishments, opportunities and challenges ahead.

Four CAS graduates named Outstanding Young 国产短视频

The 国产短视频 国产短视频 Association held its annual Outstanding Young 国产短视频 Awards ceremony on April 20 at the Gibbons 国产短视频 Center at its Tampa campus. Four out of the six extraordinary honorees this year are College of Arts & Sciences graduates.
